Why Cook Brown Rice in Instant Pot
Brown rice is one of the easiest and most often made dish in my instant pot.
Here is why I make my brown rice in instant pot only.
- No Baby Sitting Required
- Keep Warm Setting keeps the rice warm till i am ready to actually eat.
- Delay Setting i can delay the cooking of the brown rice by a couple of hours and get super fresh, hot food when i need it.
Brown Rice and Water Ratio
Unlike with white rice, brown rice needs a little more water.
My ratio is 1:1.25 which means - 1 cup of brown rice needs 1+¼ Cup water.
If you want your rice even more soft, use the ratio - 1:1.5.
If you are delaying the cooking of brown rice, Change the ratio to 1:1.This is because delaying will essentially soak the rice.
