Rice Cake Vegan Halloween Treats - Easy Halloween treats for school kids made with crispy rice cakes and chocolate.

I love to pull out these 5 minutes treats for my son! It literally takes no time and he loves it!

Halloween is a favorite time of the year for my son. He has been obsessed with it since he was a child. And because he is so in love with Halloween, I always try and throw a little party for his friends around then.

I don't know about you, but I am always looking for easy ways to make treats for the kids. Sometimes simplest of things, look the coolest.

And what's more, my son loves to make these with me. You should also try making these Pretzel Aliens and Monster Oreos with your kids. They will love being involved!

This recipe is a kid friendly recipe. It's not only a great kid friendly vegan treat but its also a fun activity they can do with parents.

Making these treats at home gives the kids a more immersive experience of halloween.

Ingredients

Here is what you will need to make these easy Vegan Halloween treats.

  • Rice Cakes - These are the Rice cakes we use
  • Nutella or a Chocolate Spread
  • White Chocolate
  • Candy Melts - I use Wilton Candy Melts
  • Candy Eyes - Wilton Candy Eyes
  • Coconut Oil- Optional

Rice Cakes- I have used brown rice cakes but feel free to use any other kind too.

Candy Eyes- These are easily available online and in store. These in my opinion are absolute Halloween essential! There is so much you can do with it!

Coconut Oil- I use extra virgin, cold pressed oil. This is not absolutely necessary but it helps from the chocolate solidifying too fast.

HOT TIP - if your rice cakes have become soggy, microwave them for about 20 seconds and they are as good as new!

How to Make Vegan Rice Cake Treats

These rice cakes are easy to make but here are some easy tips and tricks to make them easier.

  • Use piping bags to make the finer details. Or use a tooth pick. It might not be as neat but it will do in a pinch.
  • Mix a little bit of coconut oil while melting the chocolate. This will make sure the chocolate does'nt harden by the time you use it.
  • Work Quickly

Step 1: Prep

In different bowls, melt the chocolate and candy melts in the microwave.

Here I have used white chocolate and added a little bit of coconut oil while heating. This will keep it nice and pliable while decorating.

Fill it in the piping bags.

Also! If your rice cakes are soggy or not as crispy as you would like then here is a great tip for you!
