Ingredients

  • ½ Kg Baby Potatoes
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Jeera
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • Salt to Taste
  • Fresh Coriander for Garnish

Instructions

  • Wash the baby potatoes and Boil in pressure cooker with water and 1tsp salt for just 1 whistle.Alternatively boil in an open vessel with enough water and 1 teaspoon salt till the potatoes are cooked(fork can be inserted)
  • Remove the skin.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan.Add the potatoes.Saute and cook till they start turning golden brown.
  • Make a small space in the middle of the pan.Add the left over 1 tablespoon oil.
  • Once hot, add the jeera, coriander powder, chilli powder and turmeric.Roast for 15 seconds(keep an eye as it burns easily).Add salt as per taste.
  • Mix with the potatoes till they are well coated.Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with Coriander leaves and serve.
