Apple Cinnamon Cake
3cupsAll purpose flourMaida
1cupWhite sugar*
1cupBrown Sugar*
1teaspoonBaking soda
½teaspoonSalt
1teaspoonCinnamonpowdered
4Eggs
1 ½cupOil
¼cupMilk
1teaspoonvanilla extract or 1 vanilla pod
2ApplePeeled,Cored and Chopped
Glaze
½cuppacked light brown sugar
3tablespoonbutter
½teaspoonvanilla
2tablespoonmilk
1teaspoonLemon Juice
Instructions
Apple Cinnamon Cake
Measure and mix the flour,baking soda,salt,cinnamon and set aside.
Cream the Oil and brown and white sugar together.Add the vanilla extract
Break and mix in the eggs one at a time.
Add the sugar mixture to the dry ingredients.
Add the milk and combine.
Mix in the apples.
Bake in a prepared pan for 50 minutes at 180 degrees.
Take the pan out and cool for 10 minutes.Take the cake out of the pan after 10 minutes and cool on a wire rack.
Glaze
Combine the ingredients of the glaze in a sauce pan and cook on a medium flame for 10-15 minutes while stirring.
The sugar should have dissolved and the consistency should be pourable but thick.
Once the cake has cooled down pour the glaze over the cake and serve warm
Notes
Sugar - Feel free to substitute white and brown sugar for Palm Sugar or Jaggery.Prepared Pan-I have used a silicone budnt pan for this cake.You are welcome to use any other type of pan.Butter the pan and dust with flour for the cake to dislodge easily If you are making any changes keep an eye on the baking time as it may change.
