Roasting Whole Garlic Pods

  • 3 Heads Garlic Pods Whole
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 100 Gms Butter ½ Cup
  • ¼ Cup Fresh Herbs Rosemary, Thyme, Chives, Parsley or Scallions

Instructions

Roasting Whole Garlic

  • Preheat the Air fryer at 200 C /400F.
  • Slice the tops off the Garlic.
  • Place it in an Aluminum Foil. Drizzle oil and salt.
  • Air fry for 25 minutes at 200C / 400 F or Bake in Oven at 180C /365F for 1 hour.
  • Open the Aluminium foil with caution. There will be a lot of steam inside.
  • Squeeze the garlic out. Mash it up. Let it cool down before you add the butter.
  • To that add the room temperature butter and herbs.
  • Mash and Mix it all up with a fork.Your butter is ready.

Notes

Storage

The Roasted Garlic butter will keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 weeks.
It can also be frozen and used directly from the freezer. It should last 4-5 months in the freezer.

How to use Compound Butter

  • Slather it straight on a toasted bread! Top it up with anything you want like a boiled egg, roasted cherry tomatoes , burrata.
  • Make Sandwiches or Grilled Cheese!
  • Toast your bread in the compound butter.
  • Add it to marinara sauces to amp up their flavors. Especially if they are store bought.
  • Swap out minced garlic with garlic butter for recipes like Garlic Butter Umami Noodles. These recipes are dangerously addictive!
  • Add it to your potatoes like Instant Pot Garlic Mashed Potatoes or use it instead of minced garlic in making Hasselback Potatoes in the Air fryer.
  • You can also add the butter to to soups and stews.
  • Add it on top of a steak or grilled meat as a condiment.
